Air Ambulance Accidents

The vast majority of air ambulance accidents involve helicopters. Obviously, a person in need of an air ambulance has already been seriously injured, so it is critical that such flights are completed safely. All too often, however, medevac helicopters crash, which often results in the deaths of or injuries to the crew, and kills or further injures the passengers.

Most air ambulance accidents are preventable and, when not related to faulty maintenance or a design or manufacturing defect within the helicopter, are usually caused by poor decisions made by the pilot in the face of the emergency, including, flight into bad weather, flights into and out of dangerous areas without taking proper precautions, and overloading the aircraft with gear and/or personnel.

The attorneys at Angelley, P.C. have successfully handled numerous cases involving air ambulance accidents and have the legal knowledge and practical experience required to obtain favorable results for our clients. Contact us to learn more.
